Man Found Dead In Playground At Long Island Apartment Complex

An investigating has been launched after a man was found dead in a Long Island apartment complex playground.

Suffolk County Second Precinct officers responded to a playground in Huntington Station at the Whitman Village Apartment Complex, located on Lowndes Avenue, at around 12:10 p.m. Friday, June 26 after a 911 caller reported an unconscious man on the ground.

The man, 54, who lives in close proximity to the playground, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the man’s cause of death.
